FluentCRM review

A self-hosted email marketing and automation plugin with a contact CRM, company records and campaign reports. The free version covers contacts, campaigns and basic automation, and Pro adds the deep plugin integrations, sequences and advanced segmentation.

Best for: Sites that want newsletters, automation and contact records inside WordPress, especially WooCommerce, LMS and membership sites. It is not a sales pipeline tool.

Strengths / Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Unlimited contacts and emails on every plan, with prices set by site count, not list size.
  • Campaigns, scheduling, a company module and custom fields are free.
  • Pro integrates with more than 45 plugins, including WooCommerce, LearnDash and MemberPress.
  • Data stays in your WordPress database, with no external service required.
  • Calls, meetings and other activities can be logged on a contact.

Weaknesses

  • No deals, pipeline or sales forecast.
  • Contact export, email sequences and the drag-and-drop email builder need Pro.
  • Manager permissions are Pro only and apply to all contacts.
  • Built-in forms need the separate Fluent Forms plugin.
  • Pro starts at $90 for the first year and renews at $129.
